BakerManA retro arcade game about catching bread
Catch the fresh bread, dodge the mouldy loaves.
Get it on Google Play
BakerMan is a quick arcade game inspired by the pocket LCD games of the eighties, where you caught whatever was falling on a single screen. Here you’re a baker in a colourful pixel-art bakery. Loaves fall into three lanes, you dash left and right to catch them, and the game keeps speeding up.

How it plays
Two arrow buttons move the baker between three lanes. Every fresh loaf you catch is a point. About one loaf in four has gone mouldy, and catching one of those costs you a heart, just like letting a good loaf hit the floor. A mouldy loaf on the floor is fine; that one you’re supposed to let go. You start with three hearts, and the round ends when the last one is gone.
Extra hearts and a breather
The tempo climbs quickly at first, so the game hands out a bit of help along the way. Every 100 points everything slows down for ten seconds. Every 200 points you get an extra heart, up to five. Both are announced by a sound, not a pop-up, so your eyes can stay on the bread.
One more chance
When you lose your last heart, the game may offer you a second go: watch a short ad and carry on with two hearts, the same score and six seconds of slow motion to find your feet. It’s offered once per round and you can always say no. There are no banners or full-screen ads in BakerMan.
Retro, but in colour
The idea comes from the old LCD handhelds, the look doesn’t. BakerMan is drawn in colourful pixel art: an animated bakery with a brick oven and shelves full of bread, a baker in a big white hat, and a rat that peeks in from the corner now and then to squeak at you. Eat too much mouldy bread and the baker lets you hear about it, loudly.
Chasing the high score
There are no levels and no story, just your best score, saved on your phone and waiting to be beaten. A good round lasts a few minutes, and the next one is a tap away. BakerMan plays in English and Polish.
